This project aims to increase global engagement in Maine. It does this by supporting and empowering a team of middle school Global Maine Youth Ambassadors as they participate in a five day Maine adventure.

Along the way they will facilitate themed Story Time events for children (elementary age), in collaboration with Maine Public libraries. The families that attend the events will go home with copies of the books read.

The Youth Ambassadors will also visit organizations throughout the state to discover HOW and WHY they are globally engaged.

 

By sharing their experiences they will spread awareness of the value of global engagement in Maine, and of the opportunities for Mainers, in every part of the state, to be globally engaged.
